The Public Policy workgroup aims to share perspectives of coalition members with policy makers to inform key policies and practices. In addition, this committee will develop educational material on important issues for stakeholders.

The Nevada Minority Health and Equity Coalition’s LGBTQIA+ Steering Committee aims to enhance resources and knowledge of LGBTQIA+ through outreach, partnership and collaboration, education, and research. Our main priorities include improving the health, increasing housing access and resources, as well as related needs of LGBTQIA+ communities in Nevada.

Coming Fall/Winter 2025

The health equity workgroup serves as a platform for community members from various sectors to come together and discuss strategies for achieving equitable health and well-being outcomes for all populations. This workgroup facilitates open dialogue, collaboration, and the sharing of ideas to develop actionable solutions that promote fairness and inclusivity, ultimately working towards a more equitable and just health system.
