Trinh Dang

Executive Director | NAMI Southern Nevada


As Executive Director of NAMI Southern Nevada, Trinh leads a peer-driven grassroots mental health nonprofit that supports, educates, and advocates for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions. With her own lived experience and a deep understanding of the impact of mental health challenges on her family, Trinh is a dedicated and passionate mental health advocate.

Trinh began her journey with NAMI by completing the Family-to-Family 12-week class in 2012 and soon after became a volunteer teacher in 2013. Over the past decade, she has guided numerous families through their mental health journeys, offering support and resources during challenging times.

Before stepping into the role of Executive Director in January 2020, Trinh worked as a teacher and a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist (PSR), providing her with invaluable insight into the mental health field. As a Mental Health First Aid Instructor, she is committed to raising public awareness and fostering empathy, compassion, and understanding across diverse communities through NAMI’s signature programs and mindfulness practices.

Trinh actively champions the voices of families and peers, ensuring their perspectives shape policies and programs at legislative and community levels. Her leadership focuses on building inclusive, empathetic approaches that honor and elevate the experiences of those directly impacted by mental health challenges.
