Vaccine Health Equity Initiative (VHEI)
As part of NMHEC’s commitment to advancing health equity across the state of Nevada, the Vaccine Health Equity Initiative (VHEI) aims to increase COVID-19 vaccination rates among underserved and underrepresented communities.
Through a Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) approach, we actively engage with local organizations and community partners to develop targeted educational materials and outreach strategies to enhance vaccine navigation and services. In order to address disparities that contribute to vaccine uptake, our goal is to provide accurate, evidence-based information about COVID-19 vaccines, while addressing community concerns and empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their health.
