Program Description: The Nevada Statewide Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Coalition believes that every child deserves a healthy start – it’s the best gift a community can give to its children. The Nevada Statewide Maternal and Child Health Coalition works with community partners to advocate for preconception health, developmental screening, breastfeeding, physical activity, and more for mothers and children.
Services Offered: The NV Statewide MCH Coalition provides a variety of services to public and private agencies and organizations as well as the general public in an effort to enhance the quality, availability and effectiveness of programs and services in Nevada.
Specific services include:
Perinatal Mental Health Disorders (PMHDs) Trainings
Support groups for moms and families experiencing PMHDs
Therapy sessions for moms
NVMCH Monthly Newsletter
New Mama Care Kits ( Postpartum after care supplies)
Monthly coalition meetings with community partners
General resources for mothers, infants, children and families
