Program Description: The mission of Partners for a Healthy Nevada is, ‘To promote and support members’ efforts to reduce the burden of weight-related disease through advocacy, programs, and activities that promote healthy eating and physical activity.
Services Offered: The Partners for a Healthy Nevada coalition has been around since 2006. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in helping to ensure everyone has opportunities to be live their healthiest life including growing up and living at a healthy weight. Our members represent various organizations who serve the community through a variety of programs, activities, and other efforts. Our coalition serves as a place for members working in this field to network, collaborate and leverage resources to ensure that the community is better served. PHN also initiates and support programs and activities to serve the community and promote physical activity and healthy eating. These include Move Your Way initiatives and sponsorship of activities like the Healthy Kids Festival.
