Management Analyst | Commission on Minority Affairs
Bio: Emily Ku is the Management Analyst for the Nevada Commission on Minority Affairs under the Department of Business and Industry. She conducts outreach and research on behalf of the Commission in areas important to the minority community such as health, education, housing, and economic and workforce development. She has immersed herself in advocacy for the minority community, especially the AAPI community. Prior to her current role at the state, she worked as a Senior Project Manager for a boutique market research firm and as a Research Officer at the International Monetary Fund evaluating exchange rate policy and international trade policy.
Emily received her bachelor’s degree in political economy from the University of California at Berkeley and a master’s degree in international affairs from American University. Outside of the office, you can find her enjoying different hiking trails around the valley and volunteering with Junior League. She has been a proud Las Vegas resident over a decade.
